William Martin, Jr., known as "Poochie", was born June 9, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas to the parentage of William Martin, Sr. and Cora Brooks Martin. He received his formal education attending W. W. White Elementary School, Riley Middle School, Sam Houston High School. He went onto attend Healy Murphy Catholiuc School where he graduated. William accepted Christ under the leadership of his grandfather, Rev. Floyd Martin, Sr.
