Obituary for Virgia Lee Graham

Virgia Lee Graham was born February 21, 1947 in Cuero, TX, the eldest of 14 children born to Selester and Leona (Franklin) Johnson who preceded her in death along with one sister Arnell Harris, a niece Ramona and two sons that died at birth.
She was active in sports and graduated from Skidmore/Tynan High School. She completed some college courses and lived in Chicago for several years after marrying Eddie Graham, Jr. She spent most of her adult life in San Antonio, TX and was involved in various organization and charities within the community. After more than 30 years, she retired from the Texas Department of Human Services.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in San Antonio for over 40 years and held various positions including church secretary, courtesy committee president and Women’s Day Chairlady in 2005. In 2017 she relocated to Elgin, TX and under watch care joined True Vine Church in Taylor, TX under Pastor Nathaniel Davis.
Cherishing her memory are her sisters and brothers: Josetta (Jerome), Clara, Lea, Emma, Bennie Harris, Ida, Selester II (Granida), Anna Marie (Nathaniel), Lela, Michael, Linda (Jimmy), Bertha and Anthony.
She had a special love for each of her nieces and nephews, known as Aunt Sista to: Michele (Alex), Mark, Christopher (Taylor), Shreeta, Drusilla, Jonathan, Jerome, Marqus (Winona), Calvin, Jimmy (Denise), Naomi (Al), Alwyne (Heather), Tyrone, Nathan (Veronica), Shanelle, Benjamin (Ashley), Timothy, Cierra, Sharice (Prince), Shahbu (Shonda), Philip (Elia), and Jordan (Laura).
She had over 40 great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces/nephews. And an extended loving family, many friends, and a host of acquaintances who were touched by her kind and thoughtful heart.
