Vance Kennon was born on August 28, 1934 in Waelder, Texas to the late Thomas and Edna Henry Kennon. Vance received his education in the Waelder Public School System. He relocated to San Antonio, Texas making San Antonio his home. Vance entered the world of entrepreneurship owning and operating Kennon’s Bar B Que where he served his community with his delicious barbecue for over 40 years. He loved fishing, traveling with his RV coast to coast, seeing people happy and mostly he loved to Bar-B-Que. Vance was proceeded in death by parents, Thomas and Edna Kennon. He is survived by his children, June, Steve, Ralph, Jackie, Hazel, Angela, Frances and C’Nelia; niece, Shirley Thomas (Cecil); several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of many other family and friends.
