Shirley L. Wells was born January 28, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Primrose Kimmy Gibson (Stinson) and Scott Bernard Gibson. She received her education in the San Antonio School System attending Holy Redeemer Catholic School and Phillis Wheatly High School. Shirley celebrated with friends Phillis Wheatley Class of 1955 60th reunion in 2015. Shirley continued her education attending St. Phillips College earning her Associates Degree in Accounting. Upon receiving her degree Shirley decided to change career paths and further her education by attending School Of Vocational Nursing alongside her aunt becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 1960.
