Rhoda Mae Crayton was born one of nine children on August 9, 1933 to Ed & Eliza Crayton. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Clearview Baptist Church. Later in life she attended Prince of Peace Baptist Church, Goodwill Baptist Church, and finally Calvary Baptist Church under Rev. Robert Miller. She attended the Kingsbury School System and later worked in food service in the mess hall at Brooks Air Force Base for many years.
