I will miss the many remarks made to me about whether I will keep the husband I am married too, That was a ongoing joke my uncle had with me. I will truly miss him. He always had interesting conversations with all of us and we enjoyed his many visits to Florida. So you be at rest now uncle Powell, we will meet again.

Just want to share with the family of Reverend Joe Powell my condolences and to also share how he impacted my life and those of my siblings as we navigated this life after our father’s passing in 2007. He always asked about us and was always an amazing heart, ear and mouthpiece of GOD in our lives. He became the protector for us in a way our father was...ensuring us of GOD’s love and presence and His prayers on our behalf. Thank you Rev. Joe Powell for the love, the light and the entirety of your life. GOD does work it all together for good...if we accept it! Continue to rest in heavenly places ...and shout out to all of our loved ones who went on before. They are welcoming you and rejoicing in the “meet again...”. All my love, Wanda Alexis Alexander, Sam and Grace’s middle child.
