Raymond Oliver Simmons was born July 4, 1954 to the late Genevieve Katherine LeBruce Simmons and John Q. Simmons in San Antonio, Texas. Raymond received most of his education in the San Antonio Independent School District attending Jefferson High School. Raymond accepted Christ at an early age at West End Church of Nazarene under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Lee Burnett.
