Obituary for Patricia Collier

Patricia Ann Collier affectionately known as, "Pat" was born one of two children to Mable Flournoy Payne and John T. Payne on February 15, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. She relocated to San Antonio where she accepted Christ at an early age and has been active within the church serving God throughout her life's journey. Pat attended Greater Lincoln Park Temple, Antioch Baptist Church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Associate Minister’s Wife, Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor’s Wife at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church (Floresville, Texas) and ended her service attending Summit Christian Center Pat received her formal education in the San Antonio Public School System attending Fox Tech High School where she graduated in 1969. She continued her education attending St. Phillip’s College. Pat entered the workforce working for the director of Hallandale I.S.D as the CPS Secretary for many years where her career expanded. She then began advancing to Hallandale Middle School as a Technology Instructor where she retired in 2003. She went on to own and operate the U.P.S. store #2773 located in Universal City, Texas from 2006 to 2008. She closed the store in 2008. Pat enjoyed traveling, shopping and being with her family. She had exquisite taste in fashion and décor. Pat was united in holy matrimony to Michael Wayne Collier August 31, 1991. Their union was blessed with three children, John Michael Collier, Miranda Collier and Amber Collier. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Mable and John Payne and her brother, Stanley Payne who passed away from cancer at an early age. She leaves to cherish her memory and life her husband, Michael Wayne Collier; children, John Michael Collier, Miranda Collier (Wichita Falls, Texas) and Amber Collier; a very special nephew, Marcus Payne; her little fur baby Snickers and numerous family and friends.
