Nathaniel Louis Batson was born October 26, 1953 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to the parentage of Genevia Rucker and Truman Dennis Batson. He attended Robert E. Lee Elementary NOW Artemisia Bowden Elementary, Emerson Middle School, Phyllis Wheatley High School and graduating from Fox Tech High School where he graduated in 1972.
