LeAndru Higgenbottom, LeLe, as he was affectionately called, was born on May 4, 1958 to Joel and Dorothy Higgenbottom in Chicago, Illinois. LeLe received his formal education attending Shedd Elementary, Bennett Elementary and Harlan High School in Chicago. He furthered his education attending Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky, and San Antonio College. LeLe accepted Christ at an early age at True Right Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir along with his mother and brother. At the time of his passing, LeLe was a member of True Vision Church, under the leadership of Pastor Michael Steve Brown, where he joined. in June 2018.
