James William Melton was born February 28, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas. He was the beloved son of Howard Williams Melton, Jr. and Sharon Renee Melton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Renee Melton, maternal grandmother, Blanche Chandler and his paternal grandparents, Howard W. Melton, Sr. and Carolyn Melton.
Jay was a graduate of the McArthur High School Class of 1997. He would later attend (ARI) Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute and receive his Certification as a Type I, II Technician in 2008.
James (Jay) Melton completed his final earthly mission in the p.m. hours, February 6, 2023.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his son, Kaleb J. Melton; his beloved sister, Santesha Abney (Kyle) and his maternal grandfather, James Chandler; uncles, Kenneth Melton, Charles Melton, James A. Melton; his aunts, Debra DeRouen, Diane Thomas, Antoinette Lavalais, Brenda Chandler, Diane Chandler, Vonda Chandler, Karen Carter (Michael), Kathy Johnson (Ron) and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
