Harrell Jean Brown “Jackie” was born August 12, 1953 in Giddings, Texas to Pauline Thompson Mitchell and Willie “Red” Larkin, Sr. She received her formal education attending Grant Elementary, Ervin Middle School, and continued her middle school education attending Wrenn Middle School. Harrell went on to further her education attending Edgewood High School.
