Emanuel Joe Wyatt was born December 25, 1949 in Victoria, Texas to Rudolph Wyatt and Althea Augusta Barber Gaskin. He received his formal education in the San Antonio Independent School District attending Emerson School. Emanuel accepted Christ at an early age at St. Paul Methodist Church and continued his Christian walk as a member of Jericho Missionary Baptist Church.
