Dwight Mayberry was born February 12, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas to Adolphus Mayberry and Rev. Emma Lee Foster. He received his formal education in the San Antonio Public School System attending S. H. Gates Elementary, S. J. Davis Middle School and Healy Murphy High School. Dwight was the youngest of his four siblings and had a deep passion for designing inventions that could help individuals with their work.
