Doris was the first daughter born to the late Fred and Talitha Perryman of Runge, Texas. Doris was born in Karnes City, Texas in 1920 on her father’s 150-acre farm. Doris worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a Custodian. She also worked in the service industry as well as provided housekeeping to local families throughout San Antonio for over 50 years. Doris was a faithful servant and leader at St. Joseph AME under the leadership of Marylin Adams for over 60 years.
