Christine Brown Johnson was one of eight children born to Milton and Landonia Brown on February 16, 1925 in Madison County, Madisonville, Texas. Christine accepted Christ at an early age and united with Little Rock Baptist Church in Madison County. She relocated to San Antonio, Texas in the late 50's and became a member of New Light Baptist Church under the pastor and leadership of Rev. Dr. P. S. Wilkerson, Sr. She later moved her membership to New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Charter Member and under the pastor and leadership of Rev. Dr. Paul D. Stevens, Sr. Christine was a faithful and dedicated member of the Choir and affectionately called (Sister Alto). She also served as a member of the Usher Board and Nurse's Aide. Christine received her education in the Madisonville Public School System. She entered the workforce working as a Cook in the San Antonio Independent School District located in San Antonio, Texas.
