Chandra Chacon Byrd was born on August 25, 1976 in San Antonio, Texas to Ronald Byrd and Blanche McAfee Byrd. She received her formal education in the San Antonio School System. Chandra accepted Christ at an early age at Childress Memorial Church under the leadership of Bishop T.D. and Mother Dessie M. Englehart, where she was active in the Youth Choir from 1993 to 1999 and sung in the Angelic Choir.
