Catherine, known as, "Cathy or Aunt Kate" was born the only child to Earline Jones and James Bluitt Hatley Smith on August 25, 1934 in Pittsburg, Texas. She completed her formal education, finishing from St. Peter Claver High School. Catherine dedicated over half of her life to faithful service at Lackland AFB (Willford Hall) as a deeply committed Registered Nurse.
