Obituary for Carla McBeth

Carla Doretta McBeth was born November 6, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Carl P. Watson and Sodalia K. Watson. She gave her life to Christ at the young age of seven years old at Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev R.L. Archield, Sr. Carla continued her Christian walk attending St. Luke Baptist Church. Carla received her formal education in the San Antonio Independent School District attending Dorie Miller Elementary, Jefferson Davis Junior High School and Highlands High School. She continued her education attending St. Phillips Community College. Carla entered the workforce as a Sales Representative for Final Expense located in Houston, Texas, selling life insurance which she loved. In her early career Carla worked several years at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. In fond memory of our cherished mother, who poured boundless love onto the lives of her two daughters, Danielle and Tabitha, as well as, her son-in-law, Rodrick. Her adoration extended to her grandchildren, Jade and Rylan Puryear bringing warmth and joy to her world. Carla found delight in the simple pleasures of shopping and dressing up, while her soul found solace in the hymns sung at church. A testament of her compassionate heart was her passion for prison ministry, a calling she pursued with dedication. May her legacy of love, faith, and service continue to inspire. Carla was preceded in death by her father, Carl P. Watson, mother, Sodalia K. Watson and brother, Williard L. Watson. She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Danielle J. Watson and Tabitha Puryear (Rodrick Puryear); two grandchildren, Jade Puryear, Rylan Puryear and a host of other family and friends.
