Obituary for Bruce Miller

Bruce was born on February 25, 1952, to Clara Ranson and Clifton Miller in Elgin, Texas. Bruce accepted Christ as his lord and savior at a young age, he was a member of First Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Clifton Byrd.Bruce attended San Antonio Independent School District, his high school years at Brackenridge High School. Bruce later obtained a successful career as an auto mechanic, he dedicated years to Whites Automotive, Sears, Pep Boys and retired from Firestone. A true family man, Bruce became a father to Bruce Blackwell, born July of 1975. Years later, Bruce met his loving wife, Cherry McHenry in 1982. They later married in 1985 in Seguin, Texas. When he married Cherry he took on the role of “daddy” to Tamika and, a year later he was blessed with another son, Bruce Jr. Bruce was a humble man of great integrity as well as quiet gentleness and unending generosity. He had a contagious smile that would light up the room and a sense of humor that would keep you in a cheerful spirit. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Cherry Miller, His children Bruce Blackwell, Tamika Brown (Roosevelt), and Bruce Miller Jr., his Granddaughter Zariya Miller His maternal siblings John (Diane), Lillie (Roosvelt) and Bill (Connie). His paternal siblings Clifton (Betty), Russell (Angie), and Mina (Johnny). His one surviving aunt Darleen Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, in laws, cousins and friends.
