Alan L. Davis was born February 8, 1961 to U. L. Davis and Irene Lafond Davis in San Antonio, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a part of the Wheatley Heights Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Eddie Cunningham. He received his formal education in the San Antonio Independent School District, attending Sam Houston High School where he played football in the position of Tackle.
